FITNESS MAY BE JUST A BREATH AWAY
For some time now, we’ve been able to measure fitness, exercise, and health metrics with technology. One of the first wearables was the Fitbit which offered revolutionary information from a device around the user’s wrist. Now, technology is being developed to accurately track dozens of biometrics, including calories used, the intake of oxygen, and nutrient use, all from just the air inhaled and exhaled by the user. The Calibre, by Design 1st, is being called the “next-generation fitness wearable” that delivers real-time tracking of data measured up to 50 times a second. It is wireless and simply clips onto a face piece allowing its gas sensors to take measurements. Design 1st was focused on making the device comfortable to wear, visually appealing, and precise in its measurements. Beta testers began using the Calibre in May of 2022.
